Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer to redesign high-volume business processes and client journeys for one of South Africa’s major health-insurance providers.

 

You will work across complex, regulated value chains, remove operational inefficiencies, and design scalable processes that directly impact service quality and member experience.

 

This role offers strong exposure to enterprise transformation and large-scale process modernisation.

THE ROLE

As the Process Engineer, you will analyse, map and redesign end-to-end business processes. You will establish baselines, identify bottlenecks, quantify improvement opportunities and design future-state workflows that support accuracy, speed and regulatory compliance.

 

You will work with operations, product, technology and compliance to ensure redesigned processes align with business rules and system capabilities. The role includes running workshops, validating data requirements, modelling client journeys and supporting change management. You will also mentor analysts, uplift modelling standards and strengthen process design capability across the team.

 

REQUIREMENTS

IT-related qualification

5+ years' experience in process engineering or process improvement

Health-insurance or medical-aid experience advantageous

Strong experience with Lean, Six Sigma, BPI, automation and Agile

Experience coaching or developing junior analysts

Ability to model complex operational processes and design scalable TO-BE workflows
