Job Description

This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior BI Developer to own the design and delivery of BI solutions that drive operational excellence and strategic decision-making within one of South Africa’s leading asset management firms.

This Senior BI Developer role is Cape Town-based with a CTC of R1 million per annum.

You’ll work across the full BI stack, from data integration and modelling to visualisation, collaborating with stakeholders in both technology and business to build scalable, insight-driven platforms that fuel growth and efficiency.

THE ROLE
As Senior BI Developer, you’ll play a key role in turning complex business questions into clear, actionable insights. You'll work across the data lifecycle, designing scalable solutions that unify information, simplify decision-making, and surface what really matters from operational performance through to strategic investment trends.

You’ll be a trusted technical lead in a fast-moving team, guiding both architecture and junior developers, with a strong mandate to build systems that enable long-term growth for the company.

REQUIREMENTS

BSc in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar

5+ years’ experience as a BI Developer

Advanced SQL and strong data modelling skills

Experience in Power BI/Qlik

Asset management or financial services experience

Advantageous: Snowflake/Talend/SSIS/MS SQL Server
