This is a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Analyst to step into an architecture ownership role by designing and managing a complex, hybrid-hosted environment that underpins one of the continent’s most vital conservation networks.

This Systems Analyst role is Johannesburg-based with a CTC of R810K per annum.

THE COMPANY

This organisation manages millions of hectares of protected areas across Africa in partnership with governments and local communities. Their work spans security, ecological research, logistics, HR, finance, and operations — all supported by a distributed technology environment that connects central and remote park-based systems.

Their technology function is responsible for enabling consistent operations across challenging, low-connectivity environments while supporting long-term conservation outcomes through reliable infrastructure and integrated data.

THE ROLE

As Systems Analyst, you will take full ownership of the organisation’s hybrid system architecture by integrating platforms across cloud, on-premise, and offline environments. You’ll define how systems like finance, HR, operations, and ecology interact by ensuring reliable data flows, secure access, and resilient performance across multiple countries.

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years in a Systems Analyst or Integration Specialist role

Experience working across hybrid or distributed systems (cloud, on-prem, offline)

Understanding of system interoperability, data flow design, and integration

Technical solution design experience

Exposure to TOGAF is beneficial
