Located in Cape Town, this Automation Tester role offers a salary of R660-R720K per annum.

THE ROLE:

As an Automation Tester, this role offers the opportunity to design and develop scalable automation frameworks for a high-impact employee engagement platform. You will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the platform’s functionality, reliability, and performance.

The role includes identifying and logging defects, assisting developers in debugging, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage for both web and API applications. Additionally, you will validate system integrations, maintain test data, and support test environment management. Collaborating closely with developers, you will provide feedback on user stories, report testing progress, and contribute to improving software quality through efficient automation strategies.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years’ experience in test automation with exposure to manual testing

Strong SQL experience

Experience with Playwright and JavaScript for automation.

Knowledge of data-driven automation approaches and best coding practices

Understanding of object-oriented programming for easier maintenance

ISTQB or ISEB certification
