Based in Cape Town (hybrid), this CLOUD PLATFORM ENGINEER role is offering R1M – R1.1M per annum.

THE ROLE:

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will architect, build, and manage cloud infrastructures delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance services. Using AWS cloud-native technologies, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, you will design and maintain platforms that support the development and deployment of high-demand applications. You'll collaborate with DevOps and cross-functional teams to ensure the cloud platform is reliable, efficient, and aligned with the company's needs.

This role offers the opportunity to advance your AWS expertise, lead technical initiatives, focus on automation (CI/CD), and emphasise security, while enabling the platform to scale in line with demand.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience

5+ years in software engineering

3+ years architecting and building cloud solutions

Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript

Experience with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation

Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and ECS

Understanding of networking and security fundamentals
