This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TOGAF Infrastructure Architect to gain deep expertise in cloud modernization and DevOps for a leading South African bank.
Based in Johannesburg (Hybrid), this Infrastructure Architect role offers a salary of R1.5M-R1.7M per annum plus banking benefits.

THE ROLE
As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for defining, architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise-wide infrastructure solutions that align with strategic goals and industry best practices.
This includes leading the design and documentation of architecture solutions across infrastructure, security, networking, and cloud-related DevOps processes, while driving cloud modernization and migration strategies. You will assess current architectures, optimize performance and scalability, and ensure efficient resource allocation and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The role involves addressing technical debt, developing transformation roadmaps, and governing infrastructure principles and standards in alignment with TOGAF frameworks. You will also participate in the Architecture Review Board and collaborate with senior stakeholders on large-scale, impactful projects to shape the organization’s IT strategy. Staying current with emerging technologies, you will implement innovative solutions that enhance the organization’s infrastructure architecture across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
5-7 years in Infrastructure Architecture, Design, and Deployment.
TOGAF Foundation Training and Certification, ITAC (Information Technology Architect Certification).
Advanced knowledge of hardware, software, and integrated systems.
Cloud architecture expertise (public, private, hybrid) and DevOps.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
Basic knowledge of security architecture and service management.
Familiarity with mainframe, P-Series, Wintel platforms, enterprise storage, as well as waterfall and agile methodologies.
