Build & manage a world class BD team, develop client relationships & design training solutions which will meet the complex training & development needs of the corporate clients.  This position requires a highly driven, creative individual who is passionate about education & the impact it has on the business world! 

This is a permanent position based in Cape Town, offering a generous basic salary plus UNCAPPED COMMISSION.

THE ROLE
As the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for building and leading a Corporate Training sales team, delivering corporate sales, revenue, & growth strategies, setting and adhering to annual budgets, representing the business and being a public-facing ambassador. You will also be responsible for identifying and acquiring new corporate clients, selling programmes and courses to corporate clients, identifying L&D challenges, offering market insights and developing solutions which can be addressed in programmes & courses.

You will generate new leads, build relationships with new clients, negotiate and close sales, show a clear understanding of the digital economy, learning & development trends and issues that may be affecting prospective clients and always seek ways in which to improve the course offering. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 
3+ years team leadership, strategic management, business development and delivery experience  
Experience working within Education or Learning & Development is a HUGE PLUS
Experience leading a B2B business development, sales, and client service team
Extensive network in Marketing and Advertising, Financial Services and Banking, Retail and/or Government is highly advantageous
