THE ROLE
As the Data Engineer, you will be responsible for spearheading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Data Warehouse infrastructure. In this role, your primary objective will be to ensure seamless data flow by harnessing technologies such as Five Tran for data ingestion, Snowflake as the cloud-based data warehousing solution, DBT for modeling, and Tableau for visualization. Your expertise in Data Modeling and Ingestion will be critical as you architect robust and scalable solutions capable of accommodating diverse data sources and formats. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in establishing monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution protocols to uphold the reliability and performance of the Data Warehouse ecosystem.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand evolving business needs and translate them into actionable strategies, driving innovation and competitive advantage in the rapidly evolving industry landscape.
Tech stack: Fivetran, snowflake, Airflow, AWS Services (such as Fargate, S3, IAM, and Cloudwatch), Terraform, Docker, and CircleCI for infrastructure automation and deployment.
THE REQUIREMENTS
At least 8 years commercial Data Engineering experience
Experience working in fast paced consumer focused organisation, preferably in a scaleup phase
Experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
A good understanding of DevOps Best Practices around automation (e.g. CI/CD)
Understands Infrastructure As Code (Terraform)
