This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Lead to take ownership of the architecture, design, and development process this global-leading HealthTech company’s brand new mobile application, from ideation through to final delivery.

This Engineering Lead is Cape Town-based (hybrid working).

This Engineering Lead is paying between R1.6 and R1.9 million per year.

THE ROLE

As Engineering Lead, you will take ownership & drive the architecture, design, and development of the company’s brand new mobile application & all associated backend integration services. Acting as the strategic technical and hands-on engineering expert, you will be the primary technical point for all complex engineering challenges within the company’s environment.

You will own delivery of technical initiatives from design through to deployment, set coding standards, conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute hands-on to development efforts to ensure high-quality & maintainable code. The over-arching goal for your role will be to own the full end-to-end development process delivering new technology to market.

REQUIREMENTS

8+ years software development experience, with 3+ years in a lead capacity

Deep mobile development experience (native or multiplatform)

Demonstrable experience integrating mobile applications with backend systems & REST APIs

Kotlin Multiplatform experience is beneficial
