This is an amazing opportunity for a Business Analyst with deep data governance expertise to lead strategic planning and framework development across a major retail enterprise.

This Business Analyst role is Durban-based as a 12-month contract paying R480 per hour.

COMPANY

As the group continues to evolve its data governance maturity, this role plays a key part in driving enterprise-wide consistency, control, and compliance in how data is structured and used.

ROLE
As Business Analyst, you will partner with the Group Data and Governance team to assess current documentation and framework alignment, identify strategic gaps, and help shape forward-looking data governance plans.

This includes gathering business requirements, leading stakeholder workshops, and translating insights into structured roadmaps and functional specifications. You’ll also support the rollout of improved data processes and frameworks across business units.

This role is ideal for someone with extensive business analysis experience in high-volume, data-centric organisations—particularly those in retail or FMCG.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Extensive experience as a Business Analyst 

Strong focus on data governance & management processes

Business process modelling & requirements gathering experience

Background in retail, FMCG, or high-volume commercial environments advantageous
