6 Month Contract Opportunity | R500 PH | Johannesburg (on-site)

This is a unique opportunity for a Delphi Developer to support the business-critical enterprise Delphi application for a global mining giant in Johannesburg.

THE CLIENT

This is a leading global mining giant - an organisation at the forefront of platinum group metals production with a strong operational footprint and global influence.

THE ROLE

This contract role is focused on the maintenance and support of a bespoke Delphi application. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, analysing and debugging Delphi code, implementing minor enhancements, and ensuring smooth integration with databases and other systems. You’ll also monitor application performance, address memory and resource management concerns, and work closely with end-users to ensure the application remains stable and efficient in a production environment.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience as a Delphi Developer or Support Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Strong knowledge of Delphi programming language and frameworks

Experience working with databases such as SQL Server or MySQL

Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and maintain legacy code

Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g. Agile or Scrum)

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
