12 Month Contract | R600PH – R650PH | Based in Cape Town

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to gain extensive Cloudera and SAP Hana experience working on a large and complex migration project for leading Wealth and Asset Management firm.

THE ROLE

As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for mapping and migrating data from various sources to an existing data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. You will design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from different platforms into the data warehouse. Additionally, you will develop and maintain data models that support business reporting needs, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. 

Utilizing SAP BI tools, you will structure data to enable the team to generate insights and create actionable reports. Your role will also involve writing and optimizing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for analysis. You will collaborate closely with the BI team to understand reporting requirements and provide relevant, clean data for dashboarding and visualization. Finally, you will conduct data analysis using Excel and other BI tools to ensure the team has the necessary information to derive insights.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Tertiary degree in IT or a related field, or relevant IT Diploma.
At least 5 years of experience in a BI environment, with at least 2 years of experience using SAP BI technologies.
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data modelling concepts, including star schema and ETL processes.
Sap Hana & Cloudera 
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to map disparate data sets to BI models.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to diverse audiences.
