Exciting opportunity for a Data Warehouse Manager to join South Africa’s most innovative insurance provider to build an EDW from the ground up.

Located in Centurion, this Data Warehouse Manager position offers R1.4m CTC.

The company:

The role:

Design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and projects. Oversees data design and the creation of database architecture.
Manage the daily activities of the team responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and projects. 
Develop, test, deploy, maintain and support new databases, and reporting, data warehouse and business intelligence applications from HLR’s and designs.
Establish and lead a world class data analytics/warehouse capability to enable future needs for advanced analytics and AI.
Manage financial and other company resources.

Requirements:

•    Data analytics qualifications e.g. B.Tech or B.Sc. (Informatics) - Essential
•    5+ years of management experience taking care of teams between 5 – 8 people as Data Warehouse Manager – Essential 
•    Dimensional modelling and/or relevant Microsoft certification
•    Microsoft SQL Server
•    Azure SQL elastic instance
•    SQL Server Database Engine (5+ years)
•    MS SSIS ETL software (5+ years)
•    MS SSAS OLAP software (5+ years)
•    MS Visual Studio Data Tools (5+ years)
•    Strong Business Acumen
•    Track record with Client / Stakeholder Commitment
•    Expert in analyzing and interpreting data
