This is a fantastic opportunity for a SENIOR BACKEND DEVELOPER to technically LEAD the design, development, and implementation of critical solutions, leveraging AWS to empower some of the biggest studio names in the international iGaming industry.

This opportunity is based in Cape Town and paying up to R1.4 M per annum.

THE ROLE:

As the SENIOR BACKEND DEVELOPER, you will primarily focus on building scalable and efficient backend systems, designing & developing versioned public APIs, as well as leveraging AWS infrastructure to design and deliver critical solutions in the complex domain. You will further play a critical role in implementing a microservice architecture and driving key solutions within the existing business-critical product.

Your key responsibilities will further include:

• Technically leading the design & implementation of versioned Public APIs.
• Facilitate seamless integrations and the delivery of systems & features.
• Quality assurance (Unit testing, integration testing, automated testing), & continuous improvement.

THE REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

At least 4 years’ backend software development experience.

Strong experience designing & developing versioned public APIs.

Strong expertise in the following tech stack: .NET Core, Java Spring Boot, Node.js, AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFormation), SQL.
