This is a brilliant opportunity for a SENIOR GAME ENGINE DEVELOPER (Object-Oriented Programming) to take ownership of the leading GAMING TECH SOFTWARE COMPANY’s in-house game engine, renderer, and game integrations. You will enhance the developer tools that empower some of the biggest studio names in the iGaming industry.
This opportunity is based in Cape Town OR Durban and paying up to R1,6M/annum.

THE ROLE:
As the SENIOR GAME ENGINE DEVELOPER, you will use your strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) expertise to lead architecting, developing, and optimizing the world-class game engine, renderer, and critical game integrations. You will work with cross-functional teams, leading developers on the OOP front, to develop and implement modular and scalable game engine components, enhancing the high-quality games for some of the biggest names in game studios.
THE REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least 4 years’ software development experience with specialization in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Strong expertise in C++, C#, or a relevant language known for its OOP capabilities.
Strong experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks i.e., Phaser/ Three.js/ Pixi.js/ etc.
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:
Experience in game engine development, including graphics rendering, physics simulation, and performance optimization.
Experience with web-based technologies and integrations for online gaming.
A portfolio showcasing your contributions to OOP-driven game engine development projects.
