This is a fantastic opportunity for a CIO/Information Manager/CTO/Digital Systems Manager – to be the HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY for a leading EDUCATION INSTITUTION, and to drive the DIGITAL ADOPTION & TRANSFORMATION of this world-class institution.

This role is looking for a strategic, commercially-minded technologist – with a background in application development/management, systems integration, understanding across the data lifecycle, tech strategy and digital adoption, and extensive stakeholder engagement. The ability to steer DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION is a must.

Based in CAPE TOWN this HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY role offers a salary of up to R1,2 million per annum.

THE ROLE:
As HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY, you will take complete ownership of the institution’s IT, Applications, Digital, and Data landscape through the design, development, delivery, and management of the business’ digital services and resources. This will include providing key strategic input and managing new implementations from initial design all the way through to implementation & completion.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the systems & technologies act to enable the institution’s long-term business and growth strategies. You will lead and manage transformational change throughout the business, equipping the institution to develop as a leader in the tertiary education (online and in-person) industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
8+ Years experience as either an IT Operations Manager or Information Systems Manager or Applications Tech Lead or CTO.
A technical education (along with, ideally, a business management qualification).
Extensive eCommerce/Fintech/Digital Media industry experience.
New system implementations and integration experience.
Tech strategy experience
Extensive stakeholder engagement experience.
