This JUNIOR TREASURY ACCOUNTANT opportunity is offering R450K Per Annum and is based in Cape Town (Hybrid).

THE ROLE:

As the JUNIOR TREASURY ACCOUNTANT, you will join a team of experts, gaining corporate finance exposure to best practices and industry standards while working in the LARGEST and LEADING insurance institution in Southern Africa.

Your responsibilities will include accounting for foreign currency transactions, such as foreign currency swaps and hedge accounting; as well as managing bank reconciliations, electronic banking payments, account analytics, and treasury reports. You will further have responsibility of key internal & external stakeholder engagement, contributing to the overall success of the Group Treasury department.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

BCom in Accounting or relevant Accounting/ Finance degree

At least 4 years’ commercial Accountant experience in a large finance corporation

Strong analytical skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems

Completed SAICA Articles is advantageous

CPA/ CMA/ relevant professional accounting designation is advantageous
