This is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Cloud Engineer to become a cloud solutions architect by joining Africa’s leading provider of gaming software and digital media solutions. 

This role is hybrid with offices in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town. The role is paying up to R1 million per annum.

THE ROLE
As Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation & monitoring of cloud-native (Azure) business applications running on the company’s orchestrated container platforms. This will include designing and building brand new cloud applications for the company’s hybrid-cloud environment.

You will manage cloud platform security and take on a lead role in performing cloud platform vulnerability scans, assessments, and patching. 

Additionally, you will develop and oversee the backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining an OpenShift environment, maintaining and monitoring the health of systems, as well as integrating Linux with other environments. 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
5+ Years’ experience cloud engineering (Azure) experience
Container technology experience (Docker/Podman/Crio/Containerd)
Container orchestration experience (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
Linux experience
Azure certification advantageous
