This role is a HIGHLY LUCRATIVE OPPORTUNITY to SELL BANKING SYSTEMS with a STRONG VALUE PROPOSITION into FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS in a fast growing Sub-Saharan Africa market. You will be backed by one of the strongest brands in banking technology and will work with AWARD WINNING SALES PROCESSES and methodologies.
Your package will consist of an excellent base salary plus an excellent commission & bonus scheme. Deals in this space are typically worth millions of dollars, and commission is structured on the Total Contract Value. On top of this, commission is paid every couple of months, not quarterly or bi-annually like many other companies.

This is not for a Sales Manager who has a team of sales people getting out there and doing the business development. The purpose of this role is to HUNT FOR NEW BUSINESS IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA (excluding South Africa) and SELL banking technology into LARGE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS. First and foremost, you've got to be a top salesman with a proven track record in business development. You will also need to have good financial markets or Accounting knowledge. You'll be selling to top decision makers at some of Africa's largest banks - therefore, you need to be able to communicate at the correct level in order get the deals over the line. Your specific duties will include working on warm leads, i.e. inheriting established leads where there is a strong expression of interest, prospecting, proposal preparation, and negotiation / closing of multimillion dollar sales.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Candidates who meet the following will be considered:
• An out and out hunter, a highly experienced Software Sales Executive with a good understanding of Financial Services. You must be comfortable targeting the right prospects, getting on the phone, arranging meetings and either travelling to site (if situation allows) or online. Again, this position is not for someone who is currently a Sales Manager who has a team of people doing the hard graft. This is the hard graft, it's a pure BD role where you are your sales team!
• Proven track record meeting & exceeding sales targets
• A tertiary education is expected or at the very least, an equivalent and relevant commercial experience
• Comfortable with fairly regular travel into sub-Saharan Africa when permissible.
