Based in DURBAN (KZN) this Software Dev / Machine Learning Engineer role offers a salary of R700K – R760K/annum.

 

THE COMPANY:

This established Global Software Product Engineering Company, employing 200 people, is the dominant engineering company building the latest tech and software for the Entertainment Industry.

 

THE ROLE:

This position requires equal interest in Software Engineering, Machine Learning and Data Science.

The role is diverse and involves:

Learning loads about Machine Learning; be responsible for creating data pipelines, solving tough machine learning problems and doing whatever it takes to enhance efficiency and automation.

Your day-to-day will involve understanding challenges, creating and developing the data pipelines and Machine Learning models to solve and address these challenges. You will be expected to relentlessly focus on making the organisation more effective, using Machine Learning and related techniques while working with, advising and assisting teams trying to utilise Machine Learning in their products and processes.

 

THE COMPANY’S TECH ENVIRONMENT:

AI, ML, Software Architecture, Technical Design, Various coding languages including Javascript, C#, SQL, Python, R, VueJS, ReactJS, AngularJS, Angular, .Net Full Framework, .Net Core

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ideally a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field.

If you don’t have a degree don’t worry – at least 5 years of Software Development experience will be fine.

A good understanding of machine learning and application thereof.

Understand the SDLC (Software Development and Machine Learning).

Software analysis and design skills.

Sound knowledge of math and probability

Passion for and ability to solve Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence problems.

Good background and proven ability in mathematics/statistics.
