This is a wonderful opportunity for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER / DEVOPS ANALYST / AWS CLOUD CERTIFIED engineer (with some supervisory experience) to be a TECHNICAL CONSULTANT in the exciting and progressive world of EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY.

Although the company is based in CAPE TOWN, this role can be worked 100% REMOTELY.

This TECHNICAL CONSULTANT role offers a salary in the region of R700K/annum.

THE ROLE:
As TECHNICAL CONSULTANT you will ensure that education clients are successful with the products and technologies they need. 
As Technical Consultant you will lead the Technical Services team; this team provide academic institutions with technical professional services such as cloud hosting, integration, and technical support.
To achieve this, you will have a keen interest in edu-tech products – and know how to get the most out of the technologies and products for the benefit of education clients. 
You will love going that extra mile to make clients happy.
This role is a hands-on role requiring experience and qualifications in modern CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES as well as SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND DEVOPS. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline
Experience and certification for AWS Cloud technology.
Experience and/or certification for Linux.
Software development experience

Any of the below are also desirable:
Infrastructure and CM tools: Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Ansible.
LMS / VLE product and service knowledge: Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard.
Web and application servers: IIS, Apache & Tomcat
Operating Systems: Windows Server, Unix & Linux
Databases: SQL Server, Oracle RDBMS, MySql
Microsoft Azure.
