CYBER SECURITY MANAGER – R1.1 Million – R1.5 Million - Execute SECURITY OPERATIONS & improve SECURITY POSTURE for leading INTERNATIONAL RETAILER – CAPE TOWN:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER - to deliver and execute cyber security operations across a large and hugely successful RETAILER.
Based in CAPE TOWN this CYBER SECURITY MANAGER role offers a SALARY of R1.1 Million to R1.5 Million per annum.
This is one of the most successful RETAILERS in the market, operating both within South Africa and abroad.
As CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER you will deliver and execute cyber security operations across the entire national business. This involves working in unison with IT and Cyber security teams and partners across the Group to continually improve security posture. You will lead the capabilities, coordinate operational tasks and deliver critical programs.
This will involve:
People Management and Process Management; and,
Translating strategic security requirements into practical solutions and drive implementation – including business case formulation;
Assist IT teams to embed information security requirements;
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and ways of working across BU’s in relation to Information/Cyber Security;
Stay abreast of global industry trends within the Security discipline;
Create and deliver annual cyber operating plans;
*THIS IS A TECHNICAL ROLE requiring experience in building, delivering, improving and validating the effectiveness of security solutions.
Significant and relevant experience within the Security discipline.
Hands on practical experience working in CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS including incident response and blue teaming.
Experience with security technologies and processes covering identity & access management, data security, vulnerability management and general Infrastructure (network, platform, cloud and endpoint) security.
Security certifications in AWS, Microsoft, Palo Alto, CyberArk, Qualys or IBM will be an advantage.
Practical experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework would be a plus.
Working knowledge of NIST CSF and PCI-DSS
Ability to make sound technical decisions based on understanding of what is commercially achievable within technological constraints.
Research-focused on technology-related concepts, trends and best practices so as to provide guidance on IT roadmaps.
Ability to maintain advanced knowledge of business operations and organisational metrics and trends.
