Based in CAPE TOWN, this CLOUD OPERATIONS LEAD/MANAGER role offers a salary of R1.2Mil – R1.6Mil/annum.

As CLOUD OPERATIONS LEAD you will architect and work with the Developer and Engineering Teams to design and deploy automated infrastructure provisioning mechanisms through modern configuration management processes and procedures. This role will help shape emergency communications by working to build high-availability and secure systems for dispatch and first responders. You’ll report directly to the CISO and work closely with a team of other exceptional and dedicated DevOps engineers. This senior role is intended for a creative, precise, and motivated individual with a strong background in cloud-native solutions and modern software tooling and processes.
Work closely with product and platform teams to engineer and implement controls supporting security, reliability, and performance engineering;
Harden Azure implementation to meet CIS Benchmarks and other best practices with automation tools;
Design and deploy configuration automation services in Terraform, Puppet, and/or Ansible;
Design and deploy automated vulnerability discovery and automated patch management services;
Implement Network Security Groups and other isolation methods;
Harden and secure microservices (Kubernetes) and configure best practices.
Ability to work in a modern software company using agile processes.
Excellence in problem solving and quantitative risk management skills.
Experience working with cloud solutions such as Azure.
Experience in DevOps environments, maintaining secure CI/CD processes and SDLC processes.
Experience with the development, deployment, and automation of secure solutions in an enterprise cloud-based environment.
Have or ability to obtain Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.
Experience working in Kubernetes deployments is a significant benefit.
