SENIOR CREDIT RECOVERIES MANAGER – maximise Debt Collections for leading RETAILER – CAPE TOWN – Salary at Senior Manager level.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a SENIOR CREDIT RECOVERIES MANAGER to manage a large panel of External Debt Collections Agencies (EDC’s), and maximise outsourced early and late stage collections as well as post charge-off collections (recoveries) for a Leading RETAILER.  

 

Based in CAPE TOWN this Senior CREDIT RECOVERIES MANAGER role offers a competitive Senior Management Level salary.

THE ROLE:

As Senior Recoveries Manager, you will effectively manage a large panel of External Debt Collections agencies (EDC’s). You will have 10 direct reports.

The objective of the role is to maximise outsourced early and late stage collections as well as post charge-off collections (recoveries). You will own & drive all elements of the execution of Outsource collections and Recoveries strategies, manage day to day relationships with external collections agencies (EDC’s); Collaborate with key stakeholders (credit risk) in the development of optimum strategies;  Ensure compliance with operating plans & highlight operational risks & controls; and be an active and accountable member of the Credit Operations Management team.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Relevant Internal and or External Collections experience.

Management experience in Credit Collections is essential.

Good commercial understanding and awareness of best practice in unsecured collections and recovery.

Knowledge of collections and recovery strategies, processes and methodologies.

Sound analytical skills

Knowledge of relevant collection legislation (e.g. Debt Collectors Act, National Credit Act, Magistrates Court Act.)
